Generally speaking, the key device is subjected to large electrical stress, high heat generation, the internal temperature of the machine rises rapidly, and the temperature has a greater impact on the life of the device. Therefore, the final evaluation of equipment life is particularly important. So what are the key components of our power adapters that need special attention?

1. Electrolytic capacitor

Electrolytic capacitors are temperature sensitive devices in Power Adapter devices. From this point of view, the quality of electrolytic capacitors also determines the service life of the power supply device to a certain extent, and the performance of AC-DC power adapter products is outstanding.

2. Main switch (MOS tube)

The switching device is in high speed switching state and is affected by high voltage stress and current stress. The heat caused by switching loss will also accelerate the aging of the device, and it is also vulnerable to breakdown damage caused by external high voltage interference.

3. High-frequency power transformer

In the energy transmission process of high-frequency transformer, the internal loss will lead to heat, and the heat generated will also affect the service life of the transformer material. The common faults of transformer include insulation breakdown, winding burn, copper wire fracture, etc.

4. Multilayer ceramic capacitor

The capacitors of local SMD ceramic capacitors are prone to solder spot problems, which may be due to some stresses and cracks. In order to minimize the possibility of occurrence, it is recommended to avoid using multiple ceramic capacitors in parallel.

5. Output rectifier diode
